ah, such troubles with Islam stuck in the 10th. Century. I read another book that is being received with equal venom by the non-moderate Muslim minority. Irshad Manji is the author of: The Trouble with Islam Today; A Muslim's Call for Reform in Her Faith. She too lives in real fear, but continues to give lectures. She recently returned from Indonesia (the world's largest Muslim country) to give a series of lectures at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pa. at 6:30 tonight (Saturday May 3) I would suggest that you watch for her film on PBS called, Faith Without Fear. The book is available from Random House in download format in seven non-english languages. She has a website, www.irshadmanji.com
